Our skin is the largest organ in our bodies, and it has an extensive list of essential functions. From acting as a protective layer to communicating with others around us through expression or temperature changes; when this big body part isn't working properly—which can happen due to factors such as poor diet habits-it impacts everything else about you!
As moms, we are always busy taking care of others and sometimes our own needs get pushed to the bottom of the priority list. However, it's so important that we take care of ourselves too! When our skin is healthy, we not only look and feel our best but we are better equipped to handle all the demands of motherhood. Here are three reasons why keeping your skin healthy should be a top priority:
- The skin is a hardworking organ that protects us from our environment and processes waste through sweat, sebum production. The body's most important organs are located here: hair follicles which produce vitamin D when exposed to UV rays; it also houses receptors for all five senses so we can feel what’s going on around us.
- Good skin health habits can prevent or delay the onset of wrinkles and other signs of aging. Following a healthy skincare routine now will pay off dividends later when you don't have to spend as much time and money getting rid of fine lines and wrinkles!
- Taking care of your skin sends a message to those around you that you value yourself and takes pride in your appearance. Setting this example for our kids is so important—we want them to grow up knowing that they are worth taking care of too.
So mamas, take some time for yourself and pledge to follow a healthy skincare routine! Your skin (and those around you) will thank you for it.
