Homemade Raw Honey and Maple Syrup Granola

Say goodbye to bland breakfasts and hello to a burst of flavor with our homemade raw honey and maple syrup granola! This delightful combination of wholesome ingredients will not only tantalize your taste buds but also provide a nourishing start to your day.

Store-bought granola often comes loaded with additives and excess sugars but what sets this granola apart is the raw honey and maple syrup. Not only do they impart a rich, natural sweetness, but they also offer a plethora of health benefits. Raw honey is packed with antioxidants and has antibacterial properties, while maple syrup is a good source of essential minerals like manganese and zinc.

What you'll need

  • 5 cups old fashioned rolled oats
  • ¼ cup Mayberry Farms raw honey
  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sliced almonds (optional but highly recommended)
  • ½ cup flaxseed meal (optional but highly recommended)
  • ¼ cup chia seeds (optional but highly recommended)
  • ¼ cup hemp seeds (optional but highly recommended)
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon (optional but highly recommended)
  • Sea salt (omit if using salted butter)

    What to do

Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Meanwhile, in a large bowl combine the raw honey, maple syrup, and melted butter. Stir in the vanilla extract, a pinch of sea salt and the cinnamon, if using.

Pour mixture over the rolled oats and the other dry optional ingredients, if using. Stir until everything is well coated.

Spread the granola mixture evenly onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through until the granola is golden brown and fragrant.

Remove from the oven and let cool completely before breaking into clusters.

    How to serve

Now comes the best part – enjoying your homemade granola! Spoon some creamy yogurt into a bowl, top it with a generous handful of fresh or frozen Mayberry Farms strawberries, and sprinkle your homemade granola on top.
