Join us for one of our weekly farm camps during the month of July

We're bringing it back in 2024! Mayberry Farms Summer Farm Camp is a unique opportunity for your kids to experience life on the farm. Here they'll learn about soil science and plant production, livestock and honey bee care, plus they'll get the chance to sit on a tractor and milk a goat!

Who can attend farm camp?

Our regular camp and farm focus weeks are designed for ages 7-12.

Little Farmers (Ages 4-6) are welcome to signup and attend our Friday mini-camp from 9am-1pm.

What are the dates?

Regular Camp is offered Monday, July 8 - Thursday, July 11 from 9am-2pm and will provide campers and overview of farming including livestock care, honey bee production, plant and soil science plus a fun day of farm Olympics.

Farm Focus Week 1 will be held Monday, July 15 - Thursday, July 18 from 9am-2pm and is designed for ages 7-12 who want to focus on livestock care and production.

Farm Focus Week 2 will be held Monday, July 22 - Thursday, July 25 from 9am-2pm and is designed for ages 7-12 who want to focus on plant and soil science.

Mini Camp will be offered July 12;19,26

What's included in the cost?

Campers will receive small group instruction from a trained and licensed educator. Our goal is to allow campers to receive first-hand experience in basic farm tasks with a fun and educational approach. Kids will go home with daily projects to keep along with a camp t-shirt. Lunch and snacks will be provided.

What does the regular camp schedule look like?

Monday - Intro to livestock. Campers will be able to handle baby chicks, goats, lambs, piglets and milk a goat.

Tuesday - All about bees! We'll learn about the different roles honey bees have in the hive and how to extract raw honey.

Wednesday - Soil and Plant Science. We'll dig into how plants grow, why soil is important, what it's made of and basic farm equipment used to grow food.

Thursday - Farm Olympics! Campers will compete against each other in teams to earn medals in a friendly Olympic competition with a farm twist.

Can we sign up for multiple weeks?

New this year! Our Farm Focus Weeks allow campers the opportunity to go deeper into specific topics such as livestock care and production, plant and soil science.

This is designed to give campers the chance to return to the farm for more than one week if they are interested!

Regular Camp runs from July 8 - July 11, 9am-2pm daily.

Farm Focus Week 1 takes place July 15-18 from 9am-2pm and will have a focus on livestock production and care.

Farm Focus Week 2 takes place July 22-25 from 9am-2pm with a focus on plant and soil science.

Snacks and lunch will be provided.

What does mini-camp look like?

Mini-Camp is a great opportunity for kids ages 4-6 to do all the regular camp activities in a age appropriate approach. They will get to hold baby chicks, learn about bees, dig in the soil, and compete in mini-farm Olympics.
