My favorite holiday.
Growing up in a farm family, Easter was a busy time of year for us. We raised a small flock of Ewes (momma sheep) and our barn was full of baby lambs. Around the farmyard, new life was also a welcomed sign from God. My Grandmother’s lilac bush was getting ready to bloom, the grass was becoming green once again and the cold winter air turned warm and smelled sweet. God shows us new life every year in the spring and during Easter in many ways.
A sign of new life.
Our awesome God showed us the power of new life when He sacrificed His only son, Jesus. On Easter, we celebrate the death and resurection of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. He died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead to become new and one day we too will live a new life in heaven with him.
Life on the farm.
I spent a great deal of time on my family’s farm as a kid although we never lived there, I have so many fond memories of spending time with my Grandmother in her farm house. Much of our time spent together was at her kitchen table, coloring together. Now that I have children and a farm of my own, I cherish the times we spend coloring together. I started making simple coloring pages and want to share them with you too.
