Farm Camp 2021
New this year!
We'll be offering 2 sessions. The first July 19-23 and the second July 26-30.
Camp will run from Monday-Friday beginning at 9am-3pm. During those 5 days we will split up into three groups for the following ages, 6-9; 10-12; and 13-15. Each day we will be doing educational and age appropriate activities revolving around the farm.
Meals, snacks and water will be provided as well as super cool take homes and a journal to keep notes in throughout the week. The cost of camp is $250/child per session.
Here is our tentative schedule/topics:
Day 1: Livestock care - We'll be playing with baby chicks, milking goats, and making goat milk melt & pour soaps for each camper to take home.
Day 2: Honeybees - We'll go over the different parts of the hive, the types of honeybees within each colony, playing fun bee inspired games and extracting honey for each camper to take home.
Day 3: Crop Production Methods - We'll be out in the strawberry field learning about the lifecycle of the plants and giving an introduction on farm machinery as well as conservation farming methods.
Day 4: Cooking & Careers - We'll plan to learn all about vegetable production and then make our own mason jar salads for lunch. In the afternoon we'll talk about all the careers available in the agricultural sector outside the farm.
Day 5: FUN DAY! - Goat yoga, stock tank swimming, ice cream eating, farmyard bingo and reflections on what we've learned throughout the week.
