Hi, I’m Danielle Clark aka Mrs. Mayberry and I am the farmer, beekeeper and maker behind the Mayberry Milk & Honey Collection.
I would like to help you with making the switch from store bought soap and skincare products to all natural ones made right here on my family’s farm.
I have suffered with painfully dry, itchy skin my entire life. It wasn’t until I became a beekeeper that I learned the powerful benefits of raw honey and how they can help moisturize and heal our skin. Since then I’ve dug deep into all-natural products using herbs, flowers, other plants and goat milk and am excited to bring them to you.
“I recently gave their other products a try, from the Milk & Honey Co. and was pleasantly surprised! I’ve honestly never tried a ton of products with honey in them, but can tell the immediate difference.” -Kristi Tischer
Creating all-natural skincare products is not just about better products for myself. I love helping others make the switch and feel bee-autiful in their skin.
Here are 10 things you should know about me as the maker:
1. I had no idea about beekeeping until 2018 when my husband thought it would be a good idea to have them to help pollinate our strawberries
2. My favorite scent of soap is unscented - I love the smell of raw honey, beeswax and goat milk
3. I make my products in a small workspace in my basement while my kids play in the next room - it’s a nice way to involve them, they love helping cut soap and store it on the shelves
4. I grew up on a farm in Beaver Dam where we raised a small herd of sheep and had lambs every year - this is what drew me to raising livestock of my own
5. I was afraid of chickens until recently, now I have….several
6. My husband taught me how to drive a tractor - even growing up on a farm I didn’t do much tractoring until recently
7. Speaking of, my husband and I have been married for 7 years and together 11. We met at a Farm Bureau event called the Young Farmers Ball where I told him to ask me to dance.
8. Along with knowing nothing about beekeeping, I knew nothing about growing strawberries until we bought and moved to the farm in 2017
9. I can read a recipe or directions one time and then I dive right into whatever it is I’m doing
10. Last but not least, I love my children and love being able to create products with them and safe enough for them.
